Why become involved in Eventing as an Owner

Eventing is truly a fantastic sport to become involved as an owner. From the very beginning of your horse's career your horse will compete alongside the top names in the sport at impressive locations throughout the UK and Europe with many events held at large country estates such as Longleat, Chatsworth and Gatcombe.

As your horse proceeds to compete in prestigious Three Day Events such as Windsor, Blenheim and ultimately Badminton and Burghley, owners are widely recognized in the national and international media.

At larger events owners enjoy unsurpassed hospitality and are invited to social occasions. In recent years The Event Horse Owners Association has provided a strong voice for owners to further increase hospitality and ensure their contribution is publicly recognized.

Why choose Isobel to ride your Horse

Isobel has a very good track record in the sport over the last 15 years at all levels from BE90 to Advanced. Most of the horses she has ridden she has produced herself and all were 'ordinary' inexpensive horses when purchased. Two of these horses Steeler's Texarkana and Mally Jenks went on to compete at both Blenheim and Branham CCI*** . More recently she has taken Mirah Kilgobben Rebel and Feine Perle to Intermediate for owners and numerous horse to Novice level. Visit Past Horses for details.

Isobel only plans to have a maximum of 5-6 horses to compete at any one time so she will have ample time to do each justice. She firmly believes that the key to success is thorough training and dedication and applies that ethos to every horse she rides.

Isobel is very friendly and down to earth. She welcomes high owner involvement and input into the progress of their horse. Together with the owner she likes to set plans and goals for each season. She competes horses at showjumping and dressage as well as eventing.

Isobel offers flexible alternatives to owning an Event horse. She is happy to produce one you already own or else help you look for a good prospect. In addition she occasionally has part shares available in selected horses. Please see horses for sale for what is currently available.
