| Steeler's Singalong my homebred and now rising 5yr old at her first dressage competition of the year. She has really grown up in her schooling over the winter and after initial leaping around in the warm up mainly to show off I think, she knuckled down to work. She did an accurate first test but occasionally fell behind my leg at times for 66%so I upped the tempo for the second test (video)and she responded really well for 69% and 2nd place. Her mum always found the dressage quite hard, but Sadie is showing she has dressage diva potential and is really enjoying her work. |

| New arrival Oakley rsing 5 years who is just being backed. He is 15.2hh by High tension (TB) out of a 4 star advanced event mare, Doonbeg Lady and will make a cracking eventer. He has a lovely friendly temprament and is taking it all in his stride whilst still having that spark that competition horses need. He has just started hacking and really enjoys seeing what is around every corner. Over the next few weeks I will be introducing some schooling and jumping before he is put up for sale for his owner. |
First outing of the year at Badgworth BSJA. My youngster Sadie (Steeler's Singalong) did her first affiliated show and jumped a superb double clear in the 90cm class. This was after some interesting airs above ground in the warm up where her stable mate Fling (Irish Affair)egged her on with constant neighing. Unfortunately cheif camera man forgot to video this round but he did video Fling in the 1m class (above) where she jumped nice fluent double clear and obviously enjoyed being out and about again. |
